Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 20, 2026
Reversi ("we", "us", "our", or the "App") is operated to provide you with a free, enjoyable Reversi (Othello) board game experience. This Privacy Policy describes what information is collected when you download, access, or use the Reversi mobile application (the "App"), how that information is used, with whom it may be shared, and the choices you have regarding your information.
Important: The App contains advertising served by Google AdMob. Please read the section on "Advertising & Google AdMob" carefully, as it explains data collection carried out by a third party on our behalf.
1. Information We Collect
We (and the third parties described below) may collect the following categories of information:
- Game data & preferences: Settings, board positions, match history, difficulty level, sound/theme preferences, and similar progress information may be stored locally on your device so that your experience is preserved between sessions. This data is not transmitted to our servers.
- Advertising data (collected by Google AdMob): When ads are displayed, Google may collect device identifiers (such as the Advertising ID on Android/iOS), IP address, coarse location (derived from IP), app interaction events (ad impressions, clicks), device type, operating system version, language, carrier, and other diagnostic information. See Section 5 for full details.
- Crash & diagnostic information: If automatic crash reporting is enabled through the advertising SDK or platform services, technical data such as stack traces, device model, and OS version may be transmitted to help us diagnose and fix stability issues.
We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, or precise GPS location, and the App does not require you to create an account.
2. How We Use Information
- To provide, operate, and maintain the App and its gameplay features.
- To save your game progress and preferences on your device.
- To display advertising, which funds the free-to-use nature of the App.
- To measure ad performance and prevent fraudulent or invalid ad activity.
- To diagnose crashes and improve App stability and performance.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
3. Storage of Data
Game progress and preferences are stored locally using on-device storage (e.g., shared preferences or a local database). This data remains on your device unless a service (such as AdMob) independently collects its own identifiers as described in this policy. You can delete all locally stored data at any time by clearing the App's data or uninstalling the App.
4. Children's Privacy
The App is suitable for a general audience, including children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction).
Google AdMob may serve child-directed ads or non-personalized ads depending on the App's classification and your consent status. Google's practices for child users are described in the Google Privacy & Terms – Advertising page. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
5. Advertising & Google AdMob
The App uses Google AdMob, a service provided by Google LLC ("Google"), to display banner advertisements. AdMob is a third-party advertising platform that collects and processes data independently as described in Google's own policies.
5.1 Data collected by Google AdMob
When you use the App, Google may collect:
- Device identifiers: Advertising ID (Google Advertising ID / IDFA), and other device-level identifiers.
- IP address & network info: Used for approximate (coarse) geolocation and fraud prevention.
- Interaction data: Ad impressions, clicks, viewability, and engagement metrics.
- Device information: Device model, operating system, screen density, carrier, and language settings.
- Diagnostic data: Crash logs and performance metrics related to ad rendering.
5.2 How Google uses this data
Google uses this data to provide advertising services, measure ad effectiveness, prevent click fraud, and — where permitted — personalize ads based on your interests and prior interactions with ads across apps and websites.
5.3 Your advertising choices
-
Opt out of personalized ads: You can opt out of personalized advertising in your device
settings:
- Android: Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization.
- iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking → allow or deny app tracking; also check Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising → Personalized Ads.
- Reset or delete your Advertising ID: Both Android and iOS allow you to reset or delete your advertising identifier at any time.
- Google Ads Settings: Visit adssettings.google.com to manage ad personalization across Google services.
- About Ads: Visit aboutads.info for more information about interest-based advertising and how to opt out.
5.4 Consent (EEA / UK users)
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, personalized advertising is only enabled with your consent. When the App first loads ads, a consent message may be presented allowing you to accept or reject personalized advertising. You may change your choice at any time by using the "Privacy & Consent" options (if presented) within the App, or through your device advertising settings. Even if you refuse consent, you will continue to see non-personalized ads.

6. Third-Party Services
Besides Google AdMob, the App may rely on platform-provided services (such as Google Play services on Android) that operate under their own privacy policies. A complete list of third-party SDKs currently integrated:
- Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) — advertising, analytics of ad events, fraud prevention.
Any future addition of new SDKs (analytics, crash reporting, etc.) will be reflected in an updated version of this policy.
7. Data Sharing & Disclosure
We do not sell your personal information. Information may only be shared:
- With service providers such as Google (AdMob) as described in this policy, under their respective data processing terms.
- When required by law, regulation, legal process, or enforceable governmental request.
- To protect the rights, safety, or property of ourselves or others.
- In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to standard confidentiality protections.
8. Data Retention
Locally stored game data remains on your device until you clear the App's data or uninstall the App. Data collected by Google AdMob is retained by Google according to Google's own retention policies, which you can review in the Google Privacy Policy.
9. Data Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to the risk. Game data stays on your device, and data transmitted by third-party SDKs is protected in transit using industry-standard encryption (TLS). However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights including the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data, and the right to object to processing or lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
Because advertising data is collected and controlled by Google, most requests regarding advertising identifiers should be directed to Google via the tools listed in Section 5. For any request relating to data held by us, contact us using the details below.
11. Do Not Track / Global Privacy Control
Some browsers and operating systems transmit "Do Not Track" (DNT) or Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals. As advertising is handled by Google AdMob, responses to these signals depend on Google's implementation. You may still limit tracking through the advertising opt-out mechanisms described in Section 5.
12. Links to Third-Party Sites
The App or advertisements within it may contain links to third-party websites or stores. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those third parties. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of every service you visit.
13. International Transfers
Information collected by Google AdMob may be stored and processed in the United States or other countries where Google and its partners operate. By using the App, you acknowledge that such transfers may occur in accordance with Google's data processing agreements and applicable data protection laws (including Standard Contractual Clauses where required).
14. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in technology, law, or our practices. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
15. Contact Us
If you have questions, concerns, or requests regarding this Privacy Policy or your data, please contact us at:
- Email: hin.ratha10@gmail.com
We will respond to legitimate requests within a reasonable timeframe.
